How can something be so real and fake at the same time?
It’s a question that lingers in my head.
Once I lived in a bondage of false love,
Deceived by the warmth of a counterfeit embrace.
I mistook shadows for substance,
Hoping that the illusion would somehow become truth.
The smiles seemed genuine, the words so sweet,
But beneath the surface, there was only emptiness.
I gave my heart to a mirage,
Built my dreams on a foundation of lies.
Each promise, a thread in a web of deceit,
Each touch, a reminder of the betrayal to come.
Now, I see through the façade,
The truth, no longer hidden by the lies.
False ties that once bound me have unraveled,
Leaving me free, yet scarred by the illusion I once called love.
